  • Color Betting:
If you place your chip on red or a black cover on the roulette table and the ball lands on your selected color you will be paid 1 to 1, meaning you get 1 dollar for every dollar you’ve bet.
  • Even or Odd Bet:
If you put your chip on Odd, and odd number comes up on the roulette wheel spin, you’ll be paid off 1 to 1. Same goes for even numbers. If you bet on an even number then the ball must land on an even number in order for you to win.
  • High-Low Betting:
As there are 36 numbers on roulette wheel, you are allowed to bet on low numbers that are numbers 1 to 18 and high numbers 19 to 36. If you bet on low and the ball lands on any number between 1 and 18, you will be paid 1 to 1. Likewise you can also place a bet on high numbers 19 through 36. Payoff is same.
  • Dozen Bets:
Numbers 1 to 36 contain three dozens. 1 to 12, 13 to 24 and 25 to 36. You have a choice to bet on any one of them. If the ball lands on the number that belongs to your chosen dozen you will be paid off 2 to 1.
  • Column Bets:
Numbers 1 to 36 are divided in 3 columns on the roulette table, you are allowed to place your bet on any of the three columns. If the winning number is from your column you will be paid 2 to 1 by the casino.

Blackjack: how to play

blackjackHave you heard about the legendary MIT blackjack team? A team of ex-MIT students headed by Mr. M, a professor at the same institute, this team used sophisticated strategies and card counting techniques to beat the casinos at their own game. They even came up with a system supported by mathematical rules that was so accurate that they almost never lost and made millions of dollars beating the casinos all over the world.

Blackjack is one of the simplest yet most famous online casino game. It is played against the house. The beauty of this game is simplicity. It is one of the few casino card games that are under your control and if you keep your head in the game, there is a good chance that you will keep winning although it has become quite difficult. The rules of the game have evolved and the casinos have come up with different strategies of their own to keep you from winning every time. For example when blackjack started, casinos used one or maximum two decks, so it was possible to keep track of cards. Now they use more than two decks and it is very difficult to keep track of the cards already dealt. Nonetheless blackjack is still a very simple and fun game. Let us teach you the rules of blackjack and how to play blackjack and ace this amazing and fun little game.

How to play blackjack online casino

Rules of Blackjack:
Rules of blackjack are quite simple. Two or more than two standard decks of cards are used to play the game.

Value of Cards:
Kings, Queens and Jacks are worth 10 points. Cards 2 through 10 have points equal to their face value. Aces can be used for either 1 point or 11 points.

Goal:
The goal of the game is to beat the dealer’s total without exceeding the total of 21. Confused? Let me clear that for you. The player has to draw cards and when he thinks his cards are worth more points than the cards in dealer’s hand without going over the total of 21, he shows his cards and they are compared. If the player’s cards are worth more points than the dealer, player wins. If it’s the other way around, the house wins the bet. If the points are equal, it’s a tie which is called push, in blackjack’s jargon. Winning by the best combination i.e. if you have two cards worth 21 points pays $7.50 on a $5 dollar bet and it is called blackjack. If the dealer also totals 21 on two cards you, you get the original bet back.

Blackjack Jargon:
You have to make yourself at home with the basic jargon of the game of blackjack before you set out to play this game. Like the rules, terminologies used in the game of blackjack are also simple and easy to remember. There are five basic terminologies used in blackjack. Hit, stand, double down, split and insurance.

Hit:
When player asks for more cards to get closer to the total of 21 it’s called a hit. Hit is called by the player when he is not satisfied with his total so he asks the dealer for more cards in hopes of reaching closer to 21 or even getting the total of 21 to beat the dealer’s total. If the player exceeds the total of 21 in hopes of getting closer to it, for example a player has a king and a 7, so that’s 10+7 = 17 points, and he wants to get more closer to 21 and calls a hit, instead of getting cards 2 through four he gets a card worth more than 4 points say 5. Now the total will be 10+7+5=22. This situation is called a bust when a player exceeds the total of 21. The rules of calling hit are different. If you are playing in a casino you may have to point towards your card or scratch your cards on the table. You cannot say Hit verbally, this rule is implemented in order to assist the security cameras so if a dispute arises, it can be solved with the help of CCTV cameras.

Stand:
When a player is satisfied with his cards and is sure that his current total is enough to beat the total of dealer he stands. Player of the blackjack chooses not to draw anymore cards for the current round and hopes that he will beat the dealer with his current cards. Like Hit, calling stand has also its rules. If you are playing with your friends or family you can say it verbally, but in casinos you have to slide your cards under your bet in order to stand. You might have guessed the reason, yes security cameras!

Double Down:
You can double your current bet if you want to, but you can only draw one more card after doubling down. In other words you can only Hit once after you’ve doubled down. If you have a good combination of cards and you are sure you’ll be able to beat the dealer, doubling down is a good option.
In order to double down, the player places chips next to original bet. They are of the same value as the original bet.

Split:
If a player is dealt two cards of the same domination, he can split the cards and use one of the card for the second hand. He plays the current hand normally until he busts or stands and then the dealer place the card from the previous hand as the first card in the second hand.

Insurance:
Player has an option of taking insurance if the dealer’s faceup card is an Ace. Insurance is a bet that the facedown card dealer has, is worth ten points. So he completes a blackjack with these two cards. If you win the bet and dealer does have a blackjack, you come out even though you lost the hand. Dealers persuade the players to take the insurance if they don’t have a blackjack, if the player takes it and dealer does not have a blackjack player loses the insurance bet and also the hand if he can’t beat the dealer. Hence he gains nothing. So folks these were some basic rules of the king of card games, the blackjack. Go nuts!
